Dr. Hao Wang is an Associate Professor at Shanghai University, specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Human-Computer Collaborative Cognition. Following a Ph.D. from Waseda University, Japan, and supported by a CSC scholarship, his professional experience includes roles at Microsoft Research Asia (MSRA), Toshiba, and NTT, providing him with a unique international perspective on R&D. Dr. Wang is a Principal Investigator of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and has published over 30 conference and journal papers in top-tier AI venues like CogSci, COLING, and EMNLP. Crucially, he is currently serving as a seconded Deputy Director at the Putuo District Data Bureau in Shanghai, actively bridging his academic research—particularly in developing intelligent OS-Level and context-aware agents—with Smart Governance and practical public administration solutions

We primarily welcome students with NLP backgrounds, and also those from linguistics, cognitive science, and psychology. International students are also welcome.
